Ecuador is located on the South American continents west coast and was once part of the huge Inca empire. The country also has a big rain forest, beautiful coast cities as well as many lovely beaches along it’s long Atlantic coast. The famous Galapagos Islands are also a part of Ecuador. Here you can take a cruise or stay at a hotel on the islands and get real close to nature. You have a good chance of seeing the famous giant tortoise up close as well as indigenous species such as the Galapagos penguin, shark and iguanas.
