BHUTAN

Bhutan’s glorious landscape ranges from subtropical plains in the south to the sub-alpine Himalayan heights in the north, where some peaks exceed 7,000 meters (23,000 ft).Bhutan is located on the southern slopes of the eastern Himalayas, landlocked between Tibet and China to the north, Nepal to the west and Indian and Bangladeshto the west and south. Rich in flora and fauna Bhutan is home to rare Bengal tigers and clouded leopards, whilst sloth bears live in the lush, tropical lowlands and forests areasto the south. In the temperate zone, grey langur and tiger, are found in the pine forests, whilst fruit-bearing trees and bamboo provide habitat for the Himalayan black bear and red panda. The great Himalayan range in the north is home to the snow leopard, Tibetan wolf, antelope, Himalayan musk deer and the taki, Bhutan’s national animal, in addition to more than 770 species of birds. Its friendly people and immense beauty make Bhutan a natural choice for those looking for adventure and or culture in less crowded spaces.

Tibet is a plateau region in Asia, north-east of the Himalayas in China, andit is the traditional homeland of the Tibetan people as well as some other ethnic groups.Tourism has become a growing industry in recent decades, with its Tibetan Buddhism, art, music, and festivals in the region. Mount Everest, at 8,848 metres (29,029 ft), is the highest mountains on earth, located on the border with Nepal and several major rivers have their source in the Tibetan Plateau called the ‘Water Tower’ of Asia. Tibetan cultural influences extend to the neighboring states of Bhutan, Nepal, regions of India and China. Seeped in Buddhism culture and colourful history, its civilization has drawn visitors from all corners of the world, in addition to its long association with mountain trekking and climbing.
