Combine the popular Golden triangle with a visit to one of Indias famous tiger parks. Our tour starts in the capital Delhi and then moves to Jaipur and the famous Amer fort, where you might get a chance to ride an elephant if there is room.
We move to
Ranthambores National park where we have the chance to see tigers in their natural environment as well as other wild animals. On the way to Agra we visit one of the country’s most famous bird parks. Our tour ends with a visit to the fabulous Taj Mahal!

Tip! Prolong your vacation with some days sun and beach in Kerala in the south of India or visit the paradise islands of Maldives.

Day to day presentation:

Day 1: Arrival to Delhi.
Arrive in Delhi. You will be welcomed on arrival and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi.
Morning tour of New Delhi begins with a visit of the grateful mausoleum of the Moghul Emperor Humayun. Continue to the 13th century Qutub Minar, a dramatic 234 foot high fluted minaret. Proceed along the majestic promenade past the imposing India Gate War memorial, Secretariat Buildings, Parliament House and Raj Bhavan, official residence of the President. Discover Old Delhi this afternoon with a visit of Raj Ghat, the tranquil final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi. Then, view the massive walls and ramparts of the magnificent Red Fort, (if open) symbol of Moghul power and elegance. On the 17th century Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, the gateway to Chandni Chowk , the busting and colorful market place of the Old city.

Day 3: Delhi – Jaipur.
Post breakfast continue to Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur by lunch and check into hotel. Afternoon is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Jaipur.
Today we visit Amber, once the capital of the Rajput Kingdom. The grandeur of its palace and the ramparts of its fort recall the glory of an older age. Ascent to the citadel on the bank of the gaily caparisoned elephant. Later on visit to the remarkable Observatory designed and built by astronomer Price Maharajah  Jai Singh, who founded the city in 1700s. Be sure to see the 90 foot –high sundial. Then on the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a landmark of Jaipur, and the City Palace.

Day 5: Jaipur – Ranthambore.
Post breakfast drive to Ranthambore National Park, Situated in the Southwest rajas than, where the Vindhyas and the Aravali hills meet. The River Chambal in the South and Banas in the north made of rocky plains, flat hilltops, gentle slopes and precipitous cliffs covered by dry deciduous forest binds the Ranthambore   are virtually an island rich in flora and fauna. The Ranthambore Park boasts of animals like Tigers, Leopards, the elusive caracals, hyenas, sloth bears etc in addition a rich bird life. Evening at leisure to relax at your hotel. Overnight in Ranthambore.

Day 6: Ranthambore
Morning and evening enjoy wild life safaris of the Park with park naturalist. (Optional in free time  Take a walk to the famous Ranthambore fort and visit sacred Ganesh temple) . Overnight at your Resort.

Day 7 Ranthambore – Bharatpur – Agra.
Post breakfast, drive for Agra enroute visiting Bharatpur (Ghana) Bird Sanctuary. It is considered to be one of the best birds sanctuaries in India. Waterbeds assemble here during the months of July/August and breed till October. The Open  bill Stork, Egret , Darter, White Ibis, Spoonbill and Heron are some of the birds found here. Also found Chital, Black buck, Deer and other varieties of animals. Spend half day in the park  riding cycle rickshaws with park naturalist (extra cost). Later on continue  driving to Agra. Time permitted stop for a brief tour of the deserted city , Fatehpur Sikri. Check-into your hotel. Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 8: Agra.
Today visit the extraordinary and fabled monument – The Taj Mahal. This 17th century mausoleum in white marble was built by Moghul Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his queen Mumtaj Mahal. It is an architectural marvel, remarkable for its perfect symmetry of design and construction. Then visit the Agra Fort, a cluster of palaces and mosque built on the bank of the river Yamuna. Afternoon is free to explore the local bazaars on your own.
Please note! Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays!

Day 9: Agra – Delhi.
We are transferred back to Delhi where you have time to spend on your own until you get transfer to the airport for your onward journey or if you prefer to stay in Delhi!

Please note:
Hotel Check-in/Check-out time is 1200 noon in 3 star hotels & 4 star hotels. However in 5 star hotels the check-in time is 1400 Hrs. & check-out time is, 1200 Noon.
TAJ MAHAL remains closed on Fridays.
Elephant ride is subject to availability as Government of Rajasthan has restricted the number of rides and prior reservation. Clients will have to queue themselves and wait to see if they can get a chance to have the Elephant ride.
