India is a multicultural country and here is a lot to see and learn from. Our tour starts in the countrys capital Delhi where we explore the city. We then continue to Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur to visit craft villages and to learn about the beautiful textiles and weaving techniques that are found in this area. We visit local villages around Jeypore and Bastar to learn about the life and culture of the different tribes. This is a journey that opens your mind and gives you a deeper understanding of other people’s customs and traditions. We even get to see a traditional Dhemsa dance!
The tour ends with a visit to Kangers national park where we see the stalactite caves at Bora and the beautiful waterfall of Chitrakote, which is one of the biggest in the region!

Day to day presentation:

Day 1: Arrival to Delhi.
At the arrival to Delhi you are met by the local staff and get transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon we take a tour of Old Delhi where we see the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat– the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid – one of the biggest mosques in Asia as well as Shanti Vana.
Day 2: Delhi – Bhubaneswar.
Today we take a city tour of New Delhi and visit the India Gate war memorial, Qutub Minar, the great mausoleum, The Parliament building and Raj Bhavan – the presidential palace. We are then transferred to the airport for our flight Bhubaneswar. This city is ofen called the city of the temples and we take a tour of the city to explore some of these. (B,D)
Day 3: Bhubaneswar – Konark – Puri – Bhubaneswar.
Post breakfast – excursion to Puri and Konark to visit the Sun Temple and holy city. On way back can be visited to the heritage village Raghurajpur for traditional painting developed by the local artisan. (B,D)
Day 4: Bhubaneswar – Dhenkanal.
Todays first visit goes to the villages of Nuapatna and Sadeiberuni where we see traditional weaving techniques. We then visit the village of Ghantra known for it’s Dokra casting. (You create things from metals, a technique which is over 4000 years old!) At the arrival to Dhenkanal we check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to spend on your own. (B,D)
Day 5: Dhenkanal – Sambalpur.
Post breakfast proceed to Sambalpur, enroute can be visited Bhimija tribal villages. (B,D)
Day 6: Sambalpur.
We visit the Barpali village which is known for it’s exclusive Ikkat weaving patterns. The rest of the day is free to spend on your own. (B,D)
Day 7: Sambalpur – Sonepore.
After breakfast drive to Sonepore enroute visit Humma, the leaning temple and later visit some traditional weaver’s villages. (B,D)
Day 8: Sonepore – Baliguda.
We travel to Baliguda to visit the traditional villages of the Kutia Kondh tribe. We look at the traditional huts that they are living in. (B,D)
Day 9: Baliguda – Rayagada.
Early morning we take a hike in the area to visit different local villages to learn about their way of living. We then continue to Kotgarh where they have a market every Tuesday. We then continue to Rayagada. (B,D)
Day 10: Rayagada – Jeypore.
After early breakfast proceed to weekly market at Chatikona for the Dongoriya tribes and Desia tribes who are coming to the market On Wednesdays only with their horticulture stuffs. Also you will notice their barter exchanges among the communities. Later continue to drive to Jeypore. Enroute can be visited few Muniaka primitive tribal villages. (B,D)
Day 11: Jeypore.
We visit the Bonda-Gadba and Didayee tribes today. These tribes keep has Thursday as their market day when they come to Onkudeli. We have a picknick lunch before we visit their huts and see a traditional Dhemsa dance (B,L,D)
Day 12: Jeypore – Jagdalpur – Bastar.
After breakfast proceed to Jagdalpur enroute visit Kotpad weaving village and explore Bastar one of the largest districts of India where different primitive tribes inhabit. (B,D)
Day 13: Bastar.
After breakfast visit the Bison Horn Marria villages before coming to the Kanger national park. Here we explore the Kotumbsar caves and the rapids of Tirathgarh. The tour takes about 5 hours and then the rest of the day is free to spend on your own. (B,D)
Day 14: Bastar.
Early morning explore the forest surrounding the resort and walk to the nearby village. In the afternoon drive to one of the region’s largest and magnificent waterfall Chitrakote. It is beautiful to visit at sun set. (B,D)
Day 15: Bastar – Bora.
After breakfast proceed to Bora caves and the Arruku valley. The caves are some of the biggest in India and here you can see beautiful stalagmites and stalactites. The caves are about 80 meters deep and is made mostly of limestone. The rest of the day is free to spend on your own. (B,D)
Day 16: Departure.
You are transferred to the airport in Vizag and fly to Delhi. At arrival to Delhi continue your onward journey. This concludes our tour. (B)
