A unique chance to swim with dolphins and to become one with nature.
During this tour we visit the fishing village of Kizimkazi located on the southwest side of Zanzibar. On arrival at Kizimkazi you will have a brief talk about the behavior and different types of dolphins (bottle nose and humpbacked are most common) before proceeding to the dolphins’ locations with an 80% chance of seeing them. There is a fair chance you will get to swim near them, returning to your hotel in the afternoon.
All our tours that visit dolphins follows The Official Code of Conduct which is established by researchers at the institute for marine research in Stone Town. The institute is a part of the university of Dar Es Salaam. The code has been established to protect dolphins from the growing tourist groups and by following this one you make sure to minimize the damage to the animals natural behavioral patterns.
If you do go swimming with the dolphins, here are a few tips:
Try to enter the water as silently as possible, a big splash may get a laugh from the onlookers but the dolphins will be far gone. Let them approach you – you’ve got no chance of catching up with them.
